At FBC Damascus, we believe discipleship is about continually growing in our relationship with Christ, becoming grounded in God’s Word, and learning to live out our faith in everyday life.
Through Bible study, prayer, worship, serving, witnessing, and intentional discipleship opportunities, our desire is to help believers grow deeper in their faith and become equipped to help others do the same.
To help put that into practice, FBCD offers DiscipleWay and Share Your Faith—two discipleship opportunities designed to help believers grow as followers of Christ and become equipped to confidently share Him with others.

DiscipleWay is a discipleship tool we use here at FBC Damascus that provides a foundation for Christian living. It is based on seven disciplines found in Scripture: Bible Study, Prayer, Worship, Giving, Witnessing, Serving, and Leading.
► BIBLE STUDY: The first step on your journey is the discipline of Bible study. You will learn how to take God's Word for yourself and discover its great truths.
► PRAYER: You can learn how to have a conversation with God. As you cultivate the disciple of prayer you will come to understand that concept, be inspired to spend time in prayer, and learn how to pray privately and publicly
► WORSHIP: DiscipleWay will increase your knowledge of God and the Bible's teaching about worship. The result will be to enhance your worship experience as you understand the biblical basis of worship and as you experience genuine worship.
► GIVING: DiscipleWay's discipline of giving will help you develop a proper perspective of God and your relationship to Him and the material world. You will grow to understand the biblical basis for giving and cultivate a desire to give joyfully and abundantly.
► WITNESSING: The goal of the DiscipleWay's witnessing discipline is to effectively train you to share your faith and to teach others to share their faith so that you will do so regularly, with great joy, and wonderful results
► SERVING: A true disciple does not just sit around. DiscipleWay's serving disciple will equip you to do something for someone other than yourself. You will grow to understand the biblical basis for service, grow in your desire to serve others, and grow to lead others to serve
► LEADERSHIP: The final disciple in your discipleship journey is leadership. The Leader's Manual includes both the lessons for the leadership discipline and the leader's notes for the other six disciplines as you form your own discipleship team to guide other believers to become disciple makers
